Reservation Information for Our Nova Scotia Rentals
To check availability of a suite for the dates that you would like to stay and to make a reservation, please click on the link on the right side of this page "Availability and Reservations".
All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars, are based on two people occupying the suite, and include full breakfast (May 15 to Oct. 15 only). There is a charge of $20 for each additional person staying in the same suite. Please add 13% Sales Tax.
All of our rooms are non-smoking environments. We ask that our guests who wish to smoke, do so outside the Winchester House. We provide ashtrays for your convenience.
All guests of the Winchester House are reminded that reservations and check-in are done at the Front Desk of the Harbourview Inn. Breakfast in the mornings is served from 8:00 until 9:30 in the dining room at the Harbourview Inn and is included in our rates (from May 15th to Oct. 15th). Our room rates are decreased for the fall / winter season when breakfast is not included.
Please note: Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we adhere to a strict policy.
To cancel or change a reservation, please give us at least 72 hours notice prior to check-in of 3:00 PM on the day of your arrival in order to avoid being charged for your room. We highly recommend travel insurance.
At the time of making a reservation, we require a deposit of $25 per day of your stay. This deposit, minus a $10 transaction fee, is refundable as long as the reservation is cancelled at least seven days prior to check-in time.

How to find the Winchester House (Harbourview Inn).
The Winchester House is located just in front of the Harbourview Inn. It is on Highway 1 in Smith's Cove,which is between exits 24 and 25 on Highway 101. The town of Digby is just 10 minutes from the Inn and the Digby/Saint John ferry terminal is only a 15 minute drive.
The driving time to Smith's Cove from Halifax with its international airport is approximately 2½ hours. From the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border at Amherst, the drive will take approximately 5 hours. Yarmouth, the terminus of the ferry services from Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine, is approximately a 1 hour drive from Smith's Cove.
